Job Description:

(American Vassal Inc. has multiple openings in Cypress, TX) Data Architect:
Provide technical and managerial leadership in a team that designs and develops large-scale cluster data processing systems.
Integrate innovations and algorithms into production systems in collaboration with engineering teams. Process unstructured and semi-structured data into formats suitable for quantitative and statistical analysis.
Design databases, data models, ETL processes, data warehouse applications, and business intelligence (BI) reports.
Provide guidance on the overall architecture of Data Manager tools. Gather requirements for user interfaces and data quality in Big Data environments.
Develop end-to-end pipelines using ingestion stacks (Sqoop, Kafka, NiFi) and processing engines (MapReduce, Hive, Databricks).
Manage test plans, test cases, and develop programs for regression, negative, and usability testing. Req.: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, any Engineering, Math, Business, Science or related with 5 years of experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 years of exp. in Cloud-based implementations and Big Data application architecture, SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile-Scrum practices, SQL/PL SQL, Unix Platform, Shell Scripting, and Fusion tools, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, Ant, and Sonar, Databricks, Spark, PySpark, Python, Scala, Snowflake, Azure (Synapse Analytics, Blobs, WebApps, Data Factory, Event Hub), and ELK Stack.
